ROGERS — Marguerite Marie Mapes,

born April 11, 1925, in Dexter, Kan., passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021.

Preceded in death by her husbands, Patrick Jerome O’Slattery in WW II in May 1944 KIA, James Allen Boughton, and Kenneth Paul Mapes; and one son, Jimmie Lee Boughton.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia “Patti” Head and husband, JB Head; grandchildren, Renee Woodward and husband Eddie Jeremy Markin and Klynne, Angela Head, Dallas Head; and special goddaughter, Trisha Rincor of California.

No services planned. Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery in California.

She will always be remembered for baking and sharing cakes, mostly chocolate, and taking walks with her furry companion, “Sophie.”
