GROVE, Okla. — John Michael McAllister,

70 of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Fayetteville. He was a store manager for Tru Value Hardware in Oklahoma. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving three tours and receiving a Purple Heart. He was an avid Razorback fan and of the Catholic Faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McAllister and his mother, Veronica Woods; his stepson, Jason Beckham.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Fort Smith U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. He is survived by his wife Norma ( Odom) McAllister of the home; one sister, LaDonna (McAllister) Charlet of Alma; three brothers, Robert McAllister of Springdale, Rodney Woods of Fort Smith and David Woods of Cleveland, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jacob, Faith, and Caleb Shepherd, Ryan Brown; several nieces and nephews.
