ARIANA VS. BLAKE

Grammy-winning singer Ariana Grande is taking on a new role when she climbs into a red swivel chair on The Voice (Sept. 20 on NBC), making her coaching debut for the series’ 21st season alongside Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend. “I’m so honored and excited!” says Grande, 28, who appeared previously in 2016 as a performer on the show. “I have been a huge fan for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches.”

And Shelton—a veteran coach—will be waiting for her. “I’m not going to lie:

We’re still going to beat the crap out of her,” he says.

“They don’t pay me to lose.”
