When Matthew Rhys, her co-star on the spy thriller The Americans (2013–18) and her real-life partner, won an Emmy in 2018 for his role as Phillip Jennings, he dedicated his award to Russell, 45, who played Elizabeth Jennings: “This is to the woman who truly got me this award, who just stands in front of me every day and puts up with me.”
