Pick Up Where You Play

Heather Ellzey (right) and Taylor Gladwin (left), both city of Fayetteville environmental educators with the city’s Recycling and Trash Collection Division, hand out supplies and T-shirts Saturday, as volunteer Jackie Mortensen (center) of Fayetteville and others set out to pick up litter in the city as a part of the Pick Up Where You Play effort. The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Boston Mountain Solid Waste District and several local organizations have partnered to host cleanups during most weekends through the end of October.
