Rest
In a lawsuit, a party is said to “rest” or “rest their case” when that party indicates that they have produced all the evidence they intend to offer at that stage of the proceeding and submits the case either finally, or subject to the right to offer rebutting evidence after the opposing side has introduced their evidence.
