It all began with Lowe playing Sodapop Curtis in The Outsiders (1983) at 19. He costarred with fellow Brat Packer Demi Moore in both St. Elmo’s Fire (1985) and About Last Night (1986). At 31, Lowe was Emmy-nominated for his role as Sam Seaborn on The West Wing (1999-2003). He’s had memo-rable film ( Wayne’s World, Tommy Boy) and TV roles, including Robert McCallister on Brothers & Sisters (2006-2010), Eddie Nero in Californication (20072014), Chris Traeger in Parks and Recreation (20102015), Dean Sanderson in The Grinder (2015-2016) and Owen Strand in 9-1-1: Lone Star (2020-2023).
